The Night Before

The Night. She doesn't sleep. She calls. She tells. She saw a movie. This film tells the story of two nights. One night which is not seen in images, existing only in the words of The Clock, by Minnelli, an old Hollywood film. One night which is seen in images but about which we hardly know anything, those of a woman who talks about the Clock. So, in fact there are two films, two stories that come together at the same time, getting closer, and moving away, merging with what they have in common: desire, night and the city.

Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Art Machine

A teenaged prodigy painter preparing for his widely anticipated coming‐of‐age exhibition falters under pressure and slips off his medication. In his mania, he recruits a band of Bushwick rebel artists to take part in his progressively subversive show—one that will leave mouths agape.

The villagers of Mauth are notorious for their stinginess. They are so thrifty that they can't even afford an organ for their church. When the mayor of Mauth goes to a wedding in the neighboring village, he attracts the ridicule of the entire pub society. Furious, he goes home and suggests to the local council that they should at least buy an organ to avert the ridicule from the village.

An "unauthorized" sculpture built in the remnants of a low-rent apartment building in downtown San Diego that burned down after a tenant fell asleep while smoking in bed.

"The Frog Prince" was one of several adaptations of Brothers Grimm fairytales that Lotte Reiniger made in London between 1953 and 1955: others include "The Gallant Little Tailor", "Hänsel and Gretel", "Sleeping Beauty", "Snow White and Rose Red" and "The Three Wishes".

Blood

A recently engaged bride-to-be becomes determined to find her blood family before she marries. But when she meets her unusual kin in the deep woods of Florida, she begins reliving horrifying suppressed memories that lead her to believe her newfound relatives may be hiding some dark secrets, and she starts to discover horrifying truths about her birth family.
